A Scary Chew Halloween Special

(image from The Chew's Facebook page) Yesterday, The Chew was a repeat.  I assume because of Sandy.   No worries, they made up for it today.   The Chew Crew spent the episode dressed as the hosts of The View.    Would have been cute if they hadn't tried to stay in character.    Our Mario was dressed as Whoopi.   He wasn't the most irritating for a change.   Unfortunately, Daphne Oz thinks Barbara Walters is British.
Seriously, Daph, you're not going to win a spot on SNL anytime soon.   Does Barbara Walters say "Darling" that much?   No, not as often as Daphne who went as far as to Tweet in what she considers Barbara Walter's dialect (@DaphneOz, @TheChew).    So.Very.Sad.    She is such a lost cause.
Clinton played a good Elisabeth Hasselback.   He kept criticizing Obama and mentioning his gluten free diet.   He's the bee's knees in my opinion.    Carla was a decent Sherri Shepard.    Michael Symon was a terrible Joy Behar, but I did enjoy his low cut dress.   His accent was weird Yiddish Grandma mixed with Brooklyn thug or something.
Clinton should have played Barbara to give her the respect she deserves.  Daphne was not a wise choice; she would've made a good Elisabeth.   The two are like tv host twins always seeming lost on their own shows.   The View Crew and The Chew Crew had no clue that Barbara did not eat meat.  Who knew?    The chattering between the crews was a little overwhelming at times.
I guess the Chew Crew was live Tweeting throughout the show.   I'm sorry I didn't get in on that, but I DVR the show.   I found out to late.   I'm thinking about making an Arrogant Mario Twitter account :p.

Mario was up first on The Chew's version of The Pyramid Game.   Mario did poorly describing fair foods.   Then Daphne took a turn.  Her partner was very sharp because I didn't think her descriptions were very good.   Michael came next and did well with a cute little Judge Judy.   Lastly was Carla Hall.    Love her but she looked like a cross dresser today.   Team Daphne won the game.
So as much as I like to make fun of The Chew, I am excited for November.   Hopefully, we are in store for some great holiday episodes.   Maybe the only thing I enjoy more than making fun of daytime television is holiday time!     As a side note, Hallmark Channel is starting to air their Christmas made for tv movies this month!!   That's a whole different blog topic though...
